IF YOU READ NOTHING ELSE READ THE UPGRADE INSTRUCTIONS.
Current Version : Netgame1 V2.2
Why the strange name ?
NetGame one got it's name in quite a simple fashion, this is the
first door game for Pc-Board I decided to write, hence the name
NETGAME1
What is NetGame1 ?
Netgame1 is a time gamble door for use with Pc-Board V14.5a it gives the
user the chance to gain extra time on your system. The way it works is
quite simple, you decide how much time the user can win. You also decide
how much time the user must pay to use this door.
Charges (Registration)

that netgame uses to keep
track of who has played the
game, if you need to start
fresh scoring off just delete
this file.
NetGame.ERR.......................Error log report file, if
there is an error with
NetGame1, it will create this
log file with the error
number. (See end of document
for error number explanation)
LOGFILE.LOG.......................NetGame1 has the ability to
log all activities to a log
file (or append it to callers
log)
How to run the door
create a file called NETGAME in your door bat file directory, it should
look similar to the following
@ECHO OFF
CLS
CD\NETDOORS\NETGAME
NETGAME1 NODE1.CFG
CD\PCB
BOARD
Sample cfg file given below !!
[DO NOT HAVE THE ; STATEMENTS IN YOUR CFG FILE]
THIS CFG FILE MUST BE DIFFERENT FOR EVERY NODE !!!
D:\PCB\PCBOARD.SYS ;Drive path and full name of Pc-Board.sys
Netline Flagship BBs ;Name of your BBs system
Ian ;Sysop First Name
Gerada ;Sysop last name
BLT5 ;Full path and name to Blt file to create
20 ;Minimum time that a user can win
30 ;Maximum time that a user can win
5 ;Number of chances a user gets to guess the number
10 ;How much to charge a user (min) to use the door
Y ;In LOCAL mode only SYSOP cheat Yes or No
NETGAME1.LOG ;Full path and file name of logfile to
;append to. If you do not wish to have a
;log file just make this statement = NOLOG
;DO NOT LEAVE IT BLANK !
000000 ;Your registration serial number
;DO NOT LEAVE IT BLANK !
The CFG file is quite easy to setup, there are a couple of things to
bear in mind, if the user wins time on the system NetGame1 will give
back the users time spent to play the game, it will also then add
the time won to the original time the user had prior to entering the
door.
NetGame will not allow the user to enter the game if he/she does not have
enough time left to cover the charges.
You will notice that Netgame only allows the user to enter a two digit
number if the random select is between 0-99, NetGame will automaticaly
adjust this input two three or four digits etc... depending on the range
of numbers you have setup in your cfg file.
The SYSOP CHEAT function will only echo LOCALY and not to your users. I am
still wondering why I put this featutre into the game :-)
OTHER FEATURES e
F3.........................Printer toggle
F5.........................Shell to dos
F8.........................Return caller to bbs
F10........................Sysop Chat
ESC........................End sysop chat
ALT-X......................Drop to dos after caller logs off
ALT-N......................Sysop next on flag

incorrectly, you cannot fix this problem
exept by letting me know as soon as
possable.
61 DISKFULL ie : Your disk is full, delete some old files
to create more space for NetGame to work
62 END OF FILE ie : End of file reached, I duffed again

cannot be created by NetGame, make sure
it is a valid dos name and if you are on

Hi, Ian!
I notice that you gave credit in your latest NetGame1 program to
FEMA SLPS for suggestions to your program. I appreciate your
acknowledgement, but I'd prefer it if you would list my real name, ROD
RENNER, rather than my "company name", FEMA SLPS, in any future release.
Thanks. I enjoy your program and appreciate you accepting comments and
recommendations.
